Ginger Bread House

Greg and I made our first ginger bread house. Neither of us had ever made one before. We put the babies to bed and made our little house. It was a lot of fun and we didn't even use all the candy or frosting.

Greg holding our ginger bread house. We used a kit we got from Costco. It was very easy and a lot of fun. Greg decorated one side of the house and I decorated the other. What do you do with it once it's done though? Greg all ready ate one of the trees but I don't want to eat any of it and he can't eat all of it himself.

Merry Christmas!

The twins with all their presents on Christmas morning. They didn't seem to care that it was Christmas but we all had a great day anyway. We opened presents and then went out to Grandma McGary's to open more presents and eat dinner. The twins got lots of new toys and clothes.

Great Recipe

I got this recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies from www.loghomeu.com. The cookies are super moist and delicious. They have been a big hit.

1 cup butter (2 sticks) softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 15oz can pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
12-16 oz chocolate chips
1/2 cup almonds (optional)

Cream butter and sugar with mixer. Add egg, pumpkin and vanilla. Mix well. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add to pumpkin mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and almonds. Drop by spoonfuls onto foil-lined cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 for 15-17 minutes. (I only put them in for 13 mintues, my oven tends to be hot) Makes 2-3 dozen

Enjoy!

Birthday Time

My birthday was on the 21st. We went to Old Chicago, one of my favorite restaurants and had dinner and drinks. Then we went to the bars downtown Boise and had a few more drinks.

My sister Brandi & her best friend Jamar and Greg & me. This is a photo at the Bistro.

Still no Christmas Cards

We didn't get the Christmas cards out last night :( Everyone will be receiving theirs after the holidays. Instead I went to dinner with Amy to the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday. Did you know at the Cheesecake Factory you don't get a piece of cheesecake on your birthday? I did however get a nice serenade from one of their lovely waiters. Talk about embarrassing! Last night Greg decided to try something new with Jayse, we are trying to get rid of the pacifier. He really only uses it to go to sleep. Last night Greg laid him down with out the pacifier and it took almost 30 minutes before he stopped crying and feel asleep. Hopefully it will work and we will be free of pacifiers!

Don't have any photos from last night but I had to put this one up of Jaelee's O face she makes. It is so cute. She just started doing this one day and she does it all the time. It is so funny and makes everyone laugh.

Christmas Babies

So I took the babies photos this year for our Christmas cards (which I have not put in the mail yet but that is the goal for tonight). I tried to first take their photos all dressed up, Jaelee in her adorable little Christmas dress and Jayse in his button up shirt and dress pants. But......they spit up on them slobbered on them and somewhere along the line Jayse lost one of his socks. Let's just say we were all frustrated.......
After a much unsuccessful first try we tried again. This time I was inspired by one of my fellow classmates photos of his twins wearing just santa hats. I thought it was a genius idea. Spit up and slobber could be wiped away easily and they look so darn cute in those hats. Merry Christmas everyone!

Little Red Rocking Chair

My mom saved my red rocking chair from when I was a toddler. Now seeing my twins sit in it is wonderful. It's so exciting to see them enjoying the red rocking chair. They look so grown up sitting in it.

Jaelee in my red rocking chair. She is almost 7 months old here. She loves to babble it seems like she finds something new to say everyday. She just recently changed from saying mamamama to dadadada. I'll admit I was a little sad. But I'm sticking with her first word being Mom.

Jayse in my red rocking chair. He is so fun. He loves to smile with such a big beautiful smile. Jayse loves to roll around the floor. He is rolling everywhere! He really loves to roll up next to the tv and try and get the cords! Next is crawling. Yikes.
