Pretend Sleeping

We always let the kids play on our bed before we get their jammies on. Jayse went to the end of our bed and pulled the blanket up on him and Jaelee climbed in to. Then she closed her eyes and pretended to sleep and snore. I thought it was so cute I jumped up and got the camera to record. In order to get her to keep doing it we had to clap and say yay afterwards. We tried to get Jayse to do it and he would make the noise but would not close his eyes so Jaelee tried to help him close his eyes. I have no idea where Jaelee got the fake sleeping from. Greg says he does it to them once in a while. I just thought it was so cute. So here is the clip of them "sleeping".

Family Reunion

My annual family reunion was last weekend. Our family got together at the barn and we had a lot of fun. This years theme was County Fair. There were games for the kids, chili eating contest, hula hoop contest, a program of singing and dancing and lots of food and fun.

Greg the BBQ master cooked dinner Friday night.
After dinner was the hula hoop contest.

And the winner was Shayla and in second place was Hunter.

Saturday we had a chili cook off.  The three judges were Holden, Troy & Dakota.
And the winners are......
After lunch the kids played games and I did face painting.  Once all the faces & hands were painted I took a few photos of anyone who was willing.  I wanted it to be like a photo booth and get some goofy pics.  Here are some of my favorites.
It was so cute when Colby came to get his face painted he sat down and said I know exactly what I want and didn't even look through the book, I said ok what do you want and he said a mustache!  So that's what he got, I must say he looks rather handsome.
Jaelee was trying to walk the dog and she didn't really want to be walked so my Aunt hooked the leash onto my grandmas sweater and Jaelee walked her around.  This is just too cute!
We had a great time and as usual it is great to see everyone!

Our Life Video

This video is so cute. Jayse was trying to get his shadow off his feet so I went and grabbed the camera to record that but of course as soon as I get the camera he stops. Jaelee is whining through a lot of it because she wants the camera. Then I got them to hug and kiss and it's so cute and then so true to life after hugging and kissing comes the hitting. And by the way yes my kids wear clothes but it's hard to keep them on them they like to run around topless like their daddy.

Saying Noodles

I am so excited I got my old camera back from my sister and I forgot it records. Not very good quality but I still love it. Here's a clip of the twins saying noodles. So cute.  I am afraid this is one of many more to come.

Camping Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to go camping for memorial day weekend with my sister, Ryan, Jamar and my brothers.  We had to wait for Greg to get off of work on Saturday and then we all headed out.  We found a great camping spot near the lake.  After things were set up and we had a fire going the guys decided we needed more fire wood and found this huge log up the bank.  They decided to go get it and try rolling it down towards our camping grounds.  They got it to roll a little ways and decided that was too much work so they hooked it up to Ryan's truck and drug it back to our camp grounds.
The twins had a rough first night. We got them to bed pretty easy but something - ah hm - Greg, woke them up and I spent most of the night trying to get them back to sleep. I did have breaks when they were just in the trailer watching cars and I managed to play a few rounds of rummikub.  Finally at about 2 am they started to fall back asleep and the rest of the night was great, we stayed nice and warm under all our blankets. The next morning Greg and Jayse got up pretty early and Jaelee and I slept in. When we got up it was pretty nice outside. Before we could even change the twins out of their jammies they were in the water. We spent the day relaxing, playing in the water, playing bad mitten, ring toss, and the girls and twins napped while the guys went out and got more wood.  We had a great dinner with corn on the cob, steak, lamp chops, potatoes and vegetables mmmm.  The twins went to bed really easy and the rest of us stayed up and enjoyed our huge fire.  It was raining when we woke up the next morning so we made breakfast really fast and packed up and headed home.  It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go camping again.

We all got a little bit of a sun burn.

See that dot out there in the middle, that was the huge log they rolled down the bank and we used in our fire the whole time and still didn't burn it all.  Isn't this a great camping spot?  We liked it.  I hope everyone enjoyed their memorial day weekends as much as we did.
