Jaelee and Me

For Mother's Day weekend I wanted to go take some photos in Marsing near the orchards.  I was hoping they would be in bloom with beautiful flowers but they weren't.  I'm not sure if we were there too early or too late, I'll try again another time.  We did still did find some great locations and it was a nice drive.  Here are my favorites with Jaelee and a few others I snuck in of my guys.  I'm really loving black and white lately.

Four

My babies are four today.  We had a fun party for them this weekend but for now I'm just going to show the pictures I took of them a couple of weeks ago for their 4 year pics.

Home with the rain and twins

I started to feel like the rain was following me. It was raining before I left for Florida and then it rained while I was in Florida, while it was almost a record 90 degrees back home. Then the day I got back home it was raining and sunny and warm in Florida. I arrived back home at 11 in the morning so I picked the kids up from daycare so we could hang out. They seemed pretty excited to see me. We went home and I showed them some of the things I had got for them. One, luckily was a cheap rain slicker. We had to go outside and play in them for a little bit but then the sun came out. The sun was perfect for the t-shirts I got for them. They are just an outline of a cartoon in the shade and when in the sun they fill with color. I have to say they are pretty cool. Here are some pictures of the twins trying both out.

My Trip to Florida

My trip to see my sister and her family in Florida in April was a lot of fun. I went with my brother, Hunter. Greg and the kids stayed home. To save money on airfare we flew into Atlanta, my brother waited until the last minute to get his plane ticket so he didn't get into Atlanta until midnight. We weren't going to drive to Florida that night so I booked a hotel from hotwire, not really sure where we were staying until after I already booked it. It ended up being a Sheraton and was super fancy. The room rate on the door said it was $499 a night and we got it for $75!

While we waited for my brother to get in my sister and I went to dinner. We looked up what restaurants were in the area and decided to eat at a Ruby Tuesdays, we got in the car and turned on the gps and headed out. It turned out that the Ruby Tuesdays was right across the street from our hotel, lol we could have walked there. Dinner there was ok, we went back to our hotel to wait for Hunter and ended up watching a marathon of wife swap on lifetime.

We woke up bright and early to make the trip down to Florida. It was fun getting to see some of the country in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Most of it is very beautiful with lots and lots of trees. Other parts of Alabama and Florida were just like I expected - old and run down looking but I didn't see one alligator. One thing that struck me as odd is we would see this billboard about hitting a teacher and going to jail all over in Alabama, made me wonder do they have a problem with that there?

Tons of Fun for Easter

*Warning tons of pictures ahead.

On Easter Sunday Jaelee got up and dressed herself in her princess dress again, she loves that dress.  Then she made herself a picnic on the living room floor with her favorite blanket and some of her plastic food and dishes.  It was really cute to watch her sit on the floor and play - not sure what the mater in the jar with water is about though.

Curly Hair Jaelee

Jaelee looked so cute with her curly hair I couldn't help but to take a few pictures of her when we got home from egg hunting. I just took her to the side of our yard and bribed her with fruit snakes to get a few quick photos of her and her cute curly hair. She did 99% of the posing herself...all the training of taking her pictures over the past years is paying off. :) Here are my favorites:

Easter in Melba

For Easter weekend we went out to my Aunts in Melba for our annual Easter egg hunt.  Before we went out there I put Jaelee's hair in sponge curlers to give her some curl.  While we were waiting to leave she was playing outside pushing her doll and other toys in her carriage with her curlers still in.  She looked so cute and we even had a neighbor stop and say it was the cutest thing they had ever seen.

Fishing Poles & A Pink Daddy Jeep

For Easter we bought the kids their own fishing poles but I couldn't wait and I gave them to them a week early. We also recently got a pink battery powered jeep from one of Greg's friends. The kids rode around in the pink "daddy jeep" (as Jaelee calls it) all day with their fishing poles only stopping at a dip in our yard to cast and fish.

Jaelee Made Dinner

We made a meal we saw on pinterest and it was so easy that Jaelee did most of it.  It was mini taco pizzas.  They turned out so good.  If any of you know what taco time is they taste a lot like their crisp meat burritos, yumm.  She was so cute making them.
