This year for the Fourth of July I really wanted to go to McCall but since the Fourth was on a Monday and Greg and I both had to work the following day we just didn't think it made sense. So we went out to Melba like we have years past. We got up and headed out to Melba to watch the parade. It was so hot and we got there rather late so we ended up in a spot that was in the sun the whole time. The parade seemed to last forever, I think it was 45 minutes or so. Jaelee hated the loud sirens of the fire & rescue trucks, Jayse didn’t seem to mind and he was really good at collecting the candy. The twins got lots of candy and we all ended up sweaty and hot.
(I just loved her hair flower, my sister in law sent it for her, thanks Jessica!)
After the parade we headed back home. It was so hot we decided to put our swimming suites on and went to the backyard to play in the water. Greg left to go float the river with some friends and later the rest of us took a nap.
Then we headed back out to Melba to watch the fireworks. Brandi had to go to work so we brought Jayden with us. Jaelee hated the loud noise of the fireworks and hide in her blanket on my lap the whole time. Jayse cried for a moment and then watched the fireworks and Jayden didn’t seem to care what was going on. The fireworks were great!
Ha Greg got a little burnt from his day floating in the water. Guess next time he’ll wear sun screen.
That's how we celebrated the Fourth, hope everyone else had a great one!
